nspolar... here, let me do what I do best and that's "oversimplification."

What you're doing is describing the life of a business. The life of a business can be divided in three different stages - growth, maturity and death. Here on the Strictly Drilling thread we specialize in investing our monies in growth situations - we shy away from mature entities that pay a dividend knowing these companies aren't rigging up for growth but are preparing for their eventual demise.

Unions, incompetent employees, office politics, layered hierarchal management styles are indicators that death is imminent.

Small businesses can't survive with the above afflictions - to remain competitive, to grow, to profit, to simply survive - the best of the best must step up to the plate and bat a homerun on a daily basis.

Pussies need not apply.

Frank P.
