why the <g>? It is certainly true that government expenditures are wholly unrelated to revenues.

Given that is the case: What is the purpose of taxes?

The purpose of the income tax is simply the redistribution of economic goods. Nothing more, nothing less.

It was the start of the socialist states of America. Our transformation is almost complete. A bubble was necessary for everyone to finally accept government as Big Daddy.

When markets have been shown to fail us completely, everyone will buy what they are selling.
