Tom >Where is that gold market going?

Now there's a question, and very well put, too.

Let me tell you young fella, if I knew the answer to that one I wouldn't be sitting here putting messages on SI forum --- I'd be on CNBC being interviewed by Maria or Sue.

But, since I don't really know and have to pass my time by trying to be smart, I will attempt to answer the question.

For a while, although I see it going along sideways, I wouldn't be surprised, indeed I hope, that POG goes down once more to about $300. My reason for such a perverse statement is that I would like to see the stochastics go below 30, or better still 20, on this chart. That is necessary to complete the down cycle and thus allow the next up-cycle to start a-fresh and with renewed vigor.

Of course, nothing much happens in life the way one expects so it's conceivable that POG will attempt another impulsive move towards $325, only to be repulsed again. This will evoke yells and shrieks of "swines", "bastards", "foul manipulation" and "down with JPM" by all the frustrated goldbugs who have already discounted $500+ in their own minds.

Being of a mystical nature, I believe that all things have their own time and timing, the trouble is that we can't see it.
