Protecting ourselves from our government

Democrats and Republicans are as beneficial to the other's existence as their own. one glaring ritual is the democratic 'helping' of society socially by granting powers to the govt. that the republicans then mutate into a form of fascism to control the people. i.e.; FDR (dem) creates SSNs and the republicans lead the effort to use the SSNs as means to a method of requiring americans to jump through hoops and other tricks to weed out the undesirable 'lazy' voters, which then lets the dems morph a little closer to their true images of closet conservatives as the voters being weeded out are surely of a less 'clean cut' persuasion.
more than half of eligble voters do not vote, this is just how both the democrats and the republicans want it; it makes their respective races much simpler, much less broad in scope. they never have to address real issues because those that care about real issues have given up.
it seems ugly to call those that do care quitters, but that's basically what we are. we've been made into quitters by first, manipulatively, being taught not to be doers.
Have any of the 101 classes that any of us have taken to get our over-valued high schol diplomas ever focused on we, as americans, protecting ourselves from our government? the answer is no, this despite history teaching us, though surely not through high school history class, that every govt. in history has been found guilty of treason against its citizens.
we are stupid, which is a blatant anti-euphemism for ignorant. people, WAKE UP and DO!!! doing is going to take, first, a lot of learning, as many of us don't even have a clue as to what is really twisting and torturing our realities.
I always knew that there were powers working against us as a collective majority of less privledged, but it took a fierce motivation from, for me, 9-11 to figure out what the hell was going on. once on that road, and seeking to find truth as objectively, but not fanatically, as i could, a whole new world opened up to me. this new world can be described as an alternate reality which is actually the real reality and the reality that the vast majority of, at least, americans is the alternate reality. yeah, kinda like the matrix!
you learn that the history that you have picked up for the last two decades, if your about thirty like me, has been almost totally fabricated. seriously! any fool who believes that the american revolution was fought so that the common majority could have unbridled freedom of oppurtunity is sadly mistaken; right from the beginning it was about money and banks and control. but anyway, that's just one puny example.
you will be amazed at history, you will be disgusted by history, you will realize that because no one has ever been forced to own up to history, then no one has learned from histroy and can be expected to repeat history's vile acts. which brings us up to the present:
what vile acts do you think your government are up to today?
be sure that this vileness is being cloaked in the kindest way imaginable, because men and women are paid handsomely to do this. now go find that vileness, it lurks right beneath the surface.
when you find the vileness and understand our decepted lives better, you may feel called to action, you may not; either way your head is now free, and this freedom spreads like a virus, no effort is really needed to spread this virus.
sure, the active people are going to be infecting more people. the 'lazy' people will be helping out too though. they are no longer brainwashed and therefore are no longer contributing to the stream of propaganda that we as americans unwittingly propagate.
instead the truth affects the way that you approach life, you instead, equally as unwittingly, begin to propagate the truth upon the world around you. this is the same way that humans have evolved for all of history; so get out there and evolve already!
The above is unedited, intended as a journal entry, but i feel some honest ideas have been well represented in this and i feel compelled to share it with the world.

Israeli Epitome

Why should we, as Americans, be concerned with what's ongoing in Israel? Besides the genocide of Palestinian spirit, and a tremendous loss of civilian life, what it is it that should most concern our society, thousands of miles away from it all? The quick and painfully common American response would be Arab-guided aircraft. A few may even suggest Zionist ambition to rule the world. My fear, as an American, is American condonation of Israeli tactics; after all, from bible study to study hall, I've always been taught that condoning behavior is the same as committing that behavior.
American condonation this week took the form of an F-16 fighter jet released Palestinian people killer. On Tuesday Israel declared success when the Hamas military leader was killed in his apartment, along with at least 14 other innocent civilians in the adjoining complex. We who live to see our government actually condemn something, anything that Israel does got a whiff of retribution from the White House when appointed President Bush lashed out at Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's depravity, calling on Sharon to deem some value to Palestinian life. But it was all a show. More sifting of the facts found that the one ton missile fired on the Gaza apartment building had arrived in Israel under contract with the United States. This contract specifically stipulated that the missile could not be deployed for offensive use, mush less against civilians, but Washington reprieved Israel, and so Israel will continue to receive unabated arms shipments from the United States.
Never mind that Hamas has been claiming responsibility for nearly every ingeniously timed suicide bombing in Israel. Never mind that Gaza-based Hamas and Arafat's Palestinian Authority have constantly been at odds with each other. That's what the United States did each time it condoned Israel's incursions into the West Bank, invoking round-the-clock curfews, indiscriminately rounding up thousands of Palestinian men and boys, killing scores of innocent refugees, destroying en masse what little remained of social infrastructure, and leaving tens of thousands without a roof over their heads. Meanwhile, Hamas remained relatively untouched in Gaza Strip. Hamas was not attacked until one day after they offered to stop suicide bombings in Israel in return for complete Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territories; hence the dead Hamas leader and all the dead and wounded innocents.
Perhaps the most laughable condonation is Israel calling herself a democracy. America constantly reminds the world that Israel is the only democracy in the middle east, while other world leaders scratch their heads, recalling that nearly every regime in the middle east has been installed by the United States, including Saddam's Iraq. Israel's blueprint for a democracy is as follows: first and foremost you must share a single religion in order to share the full benefits of Israeli citizenship. Second, if your territory is annexed by Israel through occupation or war, count on being expelled or just living a terribly difficult life, as you have no recourse but blowing yourself up in Israel's democracy. Israel's 'democracy' is full of second and third class citizens, and many who don't even count as humans, even when they die.
That Washington insists on calling Israel a shining example of democracy is truly terrifying to me. Washington likes to call America a democracy as well, and I wonder if Israel is the type of democracy that our government strives to evolve into. We have terrorism, we have John Ashcroft, we have TIPS, we have the PATRIOT Act, we now even have our own activated armored tank division to serve on American soil (I wonder what for). Democracy, although it has served my family and friends well (what do guys want for dinner tonight?), is starting to look remarkably like fascism in the hands of our keepers; and Israel is its testing ground. |
