Why should the US pay back any investors US citizens or those abroad? Every investment involves risk. The greater the risk, the greater the POSSIBLE reward - not guaranteed reward. I believe over the entire history of the S&P it paid around 4% average over ACTUAL REAL inflation rate- NOT the 12-15% the most recent group of "investors" have grown to expect (demand?) without any RISK of loss. These must now learn that with gain comes risk & possible loss.

If one wants to dance, they should be willing to pay the piper. Sure, it needs be an honest dance floor but none should to expect dance for free...
