Tenchusatsu,

re: One time, I arrived at the security checkpoint, but I forgot to put my pocket knife in my already checked-in luggage. The guard stops me and tells me I can't carry it past that point. Either I had to put my knife in my checked-in luggage (which was too late), or I had to surrender it. I gave it up.

The point is that I can't be trusted with a 1.5" knife

I have that same knife and while in line at the airport I remembered it was still on the key chain. I had to run out to the parking lot at Seatac and put it in the car. Good thing the line was moving so slowly and my partner waited in line for me. Almost gave up my favorite $12 knife.

The point is that I can't be trusted with a 1.5" knife, even though I've never held up or hurt anyone with such a knife, and I never could even if I wanted to. Yet my knife is being confiscated because I might be a potential hijacker. Yeah, uh huh, like anyone is going to comply with a terrorist wielding a 1.5" pocket knife.

Ten, don't feel bad.........I forgot my WSJ on my chair and remembered it as I got on the jetway. Ran back to get it and as I started to reboard, they stopped and stripped search me. Really humiliating experience but I'd rather they check and go the extra mile than risk a terrorist on board.

Besides, N. Korea is one of the axis of evil nations.......who knew you weren't N.Korean posing as an American. I think they should have locked you up and thrown away the key. LOL
