I merely point out that the Governor of Tokyo, a man who 'would say no' to the US, could have bought a few JGBs to rid himself of the risk of Japanese bank, without taking on the risk of NYC bank. But he did not do so.

That would not have freed him of yen risk, though.

They flipped the switch, Jay. Right now it's party on with Dow up, dollar up, gold down. Perhaps until the early part of next year.
