Instead of just covering IBM, I should have gone long. It's a tough thing to do, but in retrospect, I should have seen it (i.e., before the follow-through to the upside).

We talk a lot about Hound signals and that was surely one. Here we had a long period of sideways that broke to the upside. Tons of shares traded hands in the sideways and tons of new shorts were born. When it broke to the upside I should have had more respect for the squeeze potential.

It really bugs me how we learn the same lessons many times. -g/ng

BTW, nothing dangerous in BTK yet. From where i sit, it needs to go down about 3.5% today to threaten any breakdown.
