Pre-open comments for August 20, 2002 - From Security Trader

Banks, Brokers, Biotech, INDU& SPX led this bounce and they are closing in on strong resistance, therefore, we may be near the likely pullback spot.

August 19 pre-open: There is really nothing to add to the index /sector chart comments here........we are in normally bearish rising wedges back to strong resistance, it is what it is. Some TECH indices had a minor breakout of their downtrend lines on Friday, but many charts are like the SPX where the rally is merely back to objectively strong resis. There are many indicators such as the put/call ratio and the NY and OTC Hi-Low levels which are back to reversal (down) area on their charts which suggest we could see a pullback or even reversal early next week. So......key areas (as shown above) will need to be watched here.
