the righties are all homogeneous It depends on the scope and category of the argument. The most zealous of the right wing tend to fall into 1) those who want christianity to rule the world, 2) Those who feel it is their mission in life to stop family planning, and 3) Those who can't breath without a gun in their hands. The particular issue of the judiciary does not fall into these categories and so it does not make sense to mention a sub-group. The left is generally more focused on their particular issue and does not form the same type of grand alliance (at least not now). TP
