No. Still, it is dangerous to try and time a trade with index p/c, since I have seen price can go on to make short-killing highs before it turns.

Spinning it bullish is easy I guess -- they are wrong and they will get squeezed.

Why does everyone think there is indexc put buying?
PC ratio sucks as an indication.

Closing of puts sends index PC ratio higher.
Buying and selling intraday sends it higher.
Buying index puts 5 months out (irrelevant IMO), sends it higher.

All of this is garbage data.
Look at OI for christ's sake.

Calls first puts second QQQ strike third
167K to 65K at 23
79K to 130K at 24
79K to 58K at 25
175K to 26K at 26
72K to 34K at 27
32K to 12K at 28
30K to 28K at 29
132J to 27K at 30

Q. Where is all this INDEX put buying if PC index ratio is so horrid?

A. It is non-existant cause PC ratio sucks totally as to what is really happening.

What is happening is that there are tons of calls building up relative to puts regardless of what any PC ratio says. That is why I think PC ratio is more or less useless.

This index call buying will increase until it exhausts itself. Only bearish number is at QQQ 24 otherwise it is a clean slate of optimism (perhaps justified) until exhaustion.
