That was a long time ago.....so was this recent ADSL chip announcement a result of the R&D that emanated from ParaVoice? I hope LSI has big plans to push ADSL & Cable based chips to enable VoIP. It will be a huge market....on the other hand, i am sure competition is fierce. If LSI cracks just this one nut (cable chip), this could be a huge money maker along with DVD/set-top box market as it is a foregone conclusion that the Cable comapanies are going to have to incorporate Cable Telephony to the mass market in order to fend off the Telcos encroaching into their TV/entertainment market via DSL over copper or local fibre or satellite (more likely solution).
