You sure are high on your move. I'm glad it's been so stimulating for you.

I used to go to a Hamburger Hamlet when I was new to the area. It was somewhere in your part of the world, perhaps the same one. That was a long time ago. It's been a long time since I ate in a restaurant that serves conventional food. Or even French or Italian. It's mostly Asian or the part of the world between Greece to India. I'm on a sashimi kick right now. I've had it for lunch three or four times a week all summer, including today. I tend to be a bingey eater. I'll tire of sashimi at some point and get hooked on something else.

Those chicken joints are easy to miss. Usually they are small buildings with small signs--either pollo a la brasa or pollo y carne a la brasa. They serve fried yuca instead of french fries. Keep an eye open for them. Good eating.

It's hard to imagine you're forty minutes away from anything.
