I actually drilled down a bit harder on the AQ/Fatah story despite its improbability.

Seems that there may have been a minor dustup between the two in Lebanon. Probably a personality clash or something equally silly. It was a tempest in a teapot from all accounts. Certainly not the breathless "Holy Sepulcher!" stuff I read around here suggesting that Fatah might have been doing the US's bidding.
