I just watched a PBS special that my brother taped for me. It looked old, maybe from two or three years ago. Anyway, the focus was on globalization and the various crises that were "dealt with" in the late nineties -- all familiar to us, Mexico, Asia, LTCM, Russia, Brazil.

It got so eerie that I had to turn it off. At various points they had snippets of interviews with Rubin and Summers. It seemed abundantly clear from what they were saying that they knew what they were up against, possible global upheaval, but that they have no sense at all that there might be consequences. I guess they think they will just keep bailing out the problems. They are mad.
