Usually if the carrier reorganizes you can still use the miles. My cutoff is around $350 as well, but the problem since 9/11 is that I never end up having to pay anywhere close to $350, so I keep buying the tickets and stockpiling the miles. I suppose at some point I should start using them.

I think there's going to be a run on miles just because of those concerns. I know I'm draining mine down now.
