My point was he was a liar and a criminal, and therefore cannot possibly be a "hero", nor can his presidency be considered a "golden period" -- even if you assume he "caused" the economy (which, of course, he didn't).

Clinton's crime wasn't adultery. It was lying under oath, something not even Richard Nixon did. Lying under oath is, as I've illustrated by this ridiculous series of posts, a VERY SERIOUS crime no matter what the circumstances. There is no difference between lying about adultery in the Paula Jones trial vs. in the hypothetical Ken Lay trial. The crimes are the same. Period.


Its beyond you to understand that someone's sexual life and his need to hide his adultery does not effect my opinion of the quality of the job he did. Reps. did everything they could do to make this into a serious crime and in fact, it was much to do about nothing.
