School boards are elected bodies, so are inherently political. So they are excluded from what I was talking about. I'm referring to ostensibly non-political organizations, such as unions, AARP, environmental organizations, colleges and universities, and other non-profit organizations which are supposed to be organized for other than political purposes. The main exception I see is in religious bodies, but there are both liberals and conservatives contesting there, so it's not the same thing -- for every Moral Majority on the conservative side there's a National Council of Churches on the liberal side. Oh, yes, the boy scouts seem in some ways to be leaning conservative, but the girl scouts are leaning liberal, so those sort of balance out too. I'm not sure "winning" is the word I would use for either side, but I do see a lot more enthusiasm for liberals taking over organizations than for conservatives doing so.
