After Saddam - who's next ?

The Saudi's are the next piece of the puzzle.

Are they merely doing what is necessary for the survial of the Royal Family - placating the Muslim fundamentalists with anti-American Rhetoric and payoffs; or are they truly duplicitous sponsors of anti-American Terrorism and the next step in stamping our terrorism post Saddam ?

The scary thought is Putin vs. Bush is a psycho-emotional & intellectual mis-match of epic proportions. ....touché

The Russians (erstwhile Soviets, erstwhile subjects of the Czar) have wanted some beachfront property on the Arabian sea for generations....couple that with the mideast oil and here we go again. Although I still doubt it the odds in my book of GW going to war are now increased, but it will in reality (IMO) have little to do with Saddam Hussein. He'll just be the new Archduke Ferdinand. .....more realpolitik and balance of power, but the cold war is over ? :o(

scary times..

regards
Kastel
