Well, let's take those points one by one- you are comparing the Middle East - where ALL sides have been a party to slaughter (ALL sides) with the Catholic Church- where it is pretty clear only Catholics are involved and with 9/11 where it is also clear that certain Wahhabi Muslims are involved. I have always said (and in fact just said on another thread) that 9/11 does not represent Islam, anymore than the KKK represents Christianity. Zealots are nasty byproducts of religion (and other causes), they are not the mainstream. I do not like what the Jews have done in the Middle East, I do not like the way they try to sway the US- but neither do I think they are villains, nor do I think there is a huge Zionist conspiracy. There are bloody hands on all sides, and there are no innocents in the middle East- save for children under the age of 5 (maybe). I've actually read quite a few articles critical of activities of the Jewish state. Most reporters try not to confuse the people, with actions of the state- that is simply responsible reporting. Just as the news media do not assume all Catholics are child molesters, just because a few priests happen to be. Can you follow that logic?

and Marxist? (ROFL) You obviously know nothing of the person whom you are posting to, nor are you able to read very well. You have my sympathy. I hope your education proceeds apace and at some point you become able to write intelligent posts. Emile knows far too much about communism and Jews- my money is on him being a communist- if you are searching for pinkos, start with him. I am an anticommunist- I am anti almost any type of group or organization. I do not like clots of people in to group think. It makes me ill. So if you are looking for group thinkers, Look on. You will be sure to find some.

how about the media's fixation on arab or muslim terrorists?

Wouldn't you say that is not surprising following 9/11? Over the preceding three decades there had been dozens of terrorist attacks on Americans. All in all, I think America has been pretty tolerant and even forgiving over that period. Most of the time our nation has simply turned the other cheek and hasn't sought retalitation or even punishment of the guilty. For example, there's evidence of Arafat giving the order to kill two or our ambassadors in cold blood in Khartoum. And our government and media have decided to simply overlook it. We even subsequently intervened to save him and his movement when the Israelis had them surrounded in Beirut.

how about the media's fixation on white racism?
Yes, but OTOH the media gives front page treatment to the black racist Farrakhan and his ilk whenever they open their mouth, even though his Nation of Islam movement is actually miniscule. He certainly doesn't present a flattering image of blacks, yet the media promote him as a significant leader.

of course when you learn who controls the media, it's not hard to understand why there are all kinds of references to the hatred found in the muslim world

Somehow I doubt this is who you're talking about:

Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin AbdulAziz Alsaud, the nephew of king Fahd, the king of Saudi Arabia.  The prince now owns a whopping $2.05 billion worth of AOL stock -- parent company of Time-Warner and CNN. He also has large holdings in Disney (parent of ABC) and the News Corporation (parent of the New York Post, Fox News, and the London Times). The prince told the London Times he frequently makes calls to bosses of the companies in which he is invested. He said:

If I feel very strongly about something, I convey a message directly to the chairman or the chief executive.
