OT: HI nspolar, nice perspective on the Palestinians all round. I've read similar. They are quite different from the Nigerians I posted about. The effect of religion in my opinion is less than that of the normal money, greed and power issues. I concur here also. The religion is just a great tool for folk in power, albeit a dangerous one that can bite back. When they went back into their dark ages Islam had taken a more conservative stance. nspolar: Thank you for posting that link. I have been reading many similar sites for the past few months in an attempt to understand the situation both historically and currently and that is among the best I've come across. The site I referred to: cactus48.com is also mentioned and linked from your site and is interesting because it is written by a group called "Jews for Justice in the Middle East" and gives the Palestinian point of view and is obviously in sympathy with their plight. A great many Jews both in Israel and the US are against Sharon but have difficulty being heard because of the media bias and censorship. Gold Bugs should empathize with them we’ve got the same problem.(ng) T.

Very good post, Nspolar. The more one looks into the Palestinaian\Israeli conflict, the more one has to have doubts about our one-sided support of Israel.
