Hi Snowshoe,

"They" need to prevent a sudden market collapse

For a long time now, I had thought September/October would be the time frame for the markets to swoon in a major way, and take us into the dreaded double-D (double dip) recession. But recently, I have changed my mind.

I now believe that eco-political forces will see to it that the markets remain relatively stable, if not somewhere in a bear market rally, at least until the mid-term elections in November in the USA, thusly favoring incumbents' chances of retaining their seats in Congress, so as to (at a bare minimum) maintain the status quo of government for the near term future.

Just a WAG on my part, but that's the picture I see shaping up right now...
