People complain that the Washington Times is "Right Wing," but I would have never run across this NEA story in the other Media. I find this behavior by them to be both predictable and disgusting. I checked "Fox News" and they had the story. A search on the WP and NYT turned up nothing for me.

It is and the story is yet one more illustration of silly attempts to try to find any instance in which to characterize the NEA as un-American. Those attempts are wrong, silly, and always speak badly of the folk who try to do it.

As for the NEA materials, it's almost impossible to see what they argued from this article. Since newspapers like the Washington Times have such a track record of quoting out of context, one simply can't tell. But it looks as if it's a well meaning attempt that's not terribly successful. That's all. Not anything more.
