This is a good start to solving my Control Panel Icon problem: ics-multimedia.com but I still haven't been able to identify the name of the Icon I want. I'm going to try to find and download a copy of the icon from the web.

sfkajb, One other minor annoyance I have is not being able to change the icon of the shortcut to the Control Panel that I keep in my Quick Launch tray. How do you even make a shortcut to the control panel? I don't see a send to option when right clicking on the control panel. Changing the name of the icon I want would probably solve my problem but I don't know how to do it. If you can't find the .ico file of the icon you want, it may be contained in a file that is a collection of icons. There are programs that allow you to edit these icons within the file, generally showing you pictures of all the icons so you can identify the one you want to edit or move or copy, or whatever. You could then copy it to it's own *.ico file with a different name and change the control panel icon to point to the new renamed version. I used to have one of these programs, but must have lost it when I last clean installed the OS. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the freebie. I know I found it originally through a google search. Esteban
