No just an opposite. USA withdrawal from Vietnam and
and communist victory strengthen Soviet Empire and delayed collapse of USSR. Well, the US was in Vietnam for ten years. I know, I know, the USSR was in Afghanistan for many more years than that, and to no avail either. The only thing supporting communism in the USSR for years before the collapse was a stubborn reluctance to admit the stupidity of it.
