Bill -- The issue is not Iraq - it is the middle east taken as a whole. There is absolutely no question and never has been that we can live with current Iraqi output. The issue is and always has been whether or not the US feels like standing by while middle east governments turn more anti-American -- that is Iraq's agenda and it could easily be shared by Iran and Saudi Arabia. If we manage to alienate most of the Arab world -- quite a feat considering how much business we do there -- it will most definitely be expensive in terms of oil and military expenditures -- do you ever think about the larger picture and the future? Or is that reserved for your private new economy fantasy sessions?
