"There has never been a more important moment to say no to war." Wow, good article Scott.

Anti-war voices were largely excluded, but even most of the hawks expressed caution and ambivalence -- there was no celebration of military action. The Joint Chiefs of Staff have made clear that a war in Iraq is not necessary or advisable, despite the Pentagon's civilian leadership's enthusiasm for war. Much of Congress appears to be waiting for public opinion to weigh in.

Even more significant is the growing opposition from the president's conservative Republican backers.
