A tenth of a lot is still a lot --- and the implications are even more serious.

"The Saudi money shifts may have contributed to the recent downward pressure on the dollar.

"People no longer have any confidence in the US economy or in US foreign policy," said Bishr Bakheet, a financial consultant in Riyadh.

"And if the latest lawsuit is not thrown out in court, it will mean no more Saudi money in the US."

This is not the end of the rift between the US and Saudi, it is only the beginning. And, instead of raving about war against whoever, Mr Rumsfeld & Co can now spend the rest of their time trying to patch up the damage their foreign policy has caused.
