Even if those figures portend future growth, which is questionable, future growth will only cost the cable co's more. And more subcribers means they gave up their dial up service and now use cable. More traffic? nope.

Most cable co's will never make profits, because they keep spending so much on capex. Along with the intro deals to get those new customers. With nothing to show for it.

Do you know why most retail customers still use the internet? For email. Do you need broadband to send email? No. And broadband rates are going up. and they are going to keep going up.

And again, corp customers these days are not going to pay TOS rates for ordinary, non-urgent internet traffic.

These projections of huge traffic increases are baloney. The infrastructure is currently way overbuilt. William's argument doesn't hold much water.
