I know what Newsmax is, but I spend no time on the site, and have no particular opinion of it.

The allegations about Mr. Clinton, though sometimes expressed too strongly, are generally better founded than the typical stuff posted by the persons I mentioned.

I personally have argued a moderate view of the various mainstream outlets. I consider the Washington Post to be, currently, a very respectable paper. The New York Times is not a nest of social democrats, but is too often tolerant of using news articles to push a liberal agenda. The fact that it has published some conservatives, especially in the magazine, does not change the facts, that things belonging on the op- ed page have been put on page A1 as news. That isn't so bad as long as the reader is apprised of the problem. My view is that the New York Times has about as much liberal bias as the Washington Times has conservative bias, in their respective news columns. I used to subscribe to both, plus the Post.

I am aware that the tactics you mention were used by the Clinton White House to dismiss investigative reporting......
