Elmer, Intel is more dependent on expand or die, AMD seems to be less vulnerable.
The cost of a large competitor trying to kill a small one by price cuts has failed since it cost Intel a lot more and AMD still lives on. Intel would have made more money by letting AMD sell all it could at higher prices while Intel also got higher prices.
making AMD into a loss maker failed as a strategy, since it bears the losses year after year with the occasional profitable year making up for the losses.

Billion and billions wasted and the ogre is at Intel's door with a large hammer.
