Unsurprising. I sometimes browse the moderated thread, just to look for headlines, but I am no longer reading individual posts. That thread went off the deep end long ago, and it's quite useless trying to bring it back to reality. Let them have their fun with the vapor launch. It will probably be the best that AMD has to offer this year.

And AMD's paper launch (available in systems in September) looks like a desperate public relations move.

Timing of the announcement is a PR move. But without this latest CPU revision, AMd would have been blown out of the water in Q4. With the new CPU, which still has some headroom, AMD will stay in the game until Hammer arrives.
