A recent AG Edwards report from this month states that they held a meeting with management in which management reaffirmed positive earnings by 4th quarter 2003 (April 2003).
I agree there is a lot of risk here and $10 seems too greedy, but a lot of reward. The insider buying clinches it for me.

I checked out Soundview's site and read the research, it confirms that profits at FNSR are a ways off, they have a quarterly break even of $70 mil, and only did $42 mil this past quarter.

What those numbers don't tell you is can they be profitable even at $70M when their competition, Agilent, can sell product made in Singapore BELOW Finisar's price?

Convince me that FNSR can compete on price and i might bite... otherwise... only the low cost producers will survive unless there is another bubble where now bankrupt end customers will pay "any price" for the equipment.
