Al, Iraq is suffering the consequences of their own actions. The no-fly zones and sanctions were put into place because Saddam is a tyrant. How they react to America's hard-line stance is irrelevant, because they brought this all upon themselves.

I understand. But the reference was more to respond to a series of exchanges with Ray, at the tail end of which he said that I ignored one of his questions just because it was too tough. It's not important.

I know Saddam is a bad guy and even allow that he could be up to no good again. But we are talking about WAR

So I advocate containment. 1) we need to make sure that containment is aadministered as a world policy 2) containment actually hurts the government of Iraq and not its people 3) we don't turn get distracted from containing Iraq to deposing Saddam.

We contained the USSR for 50 odd years...we can't again with this two bit dictator? I am sorry... I just don't buy it
