Would this be a case of Freudian slippage or is this what is in fact intended

More like a case of a false etymology in my own head. I thought of "satire" as connected with "satyrs" due to the association of satyrs with ancient comedy. But "satire" is actually derived from the Old French word for fruit salad, according to my dictionary.
