Well, no doubt, as Bill say, TWIT, on the reaction of the country to Iraq difficulties after an invasion.

As for the allies, the lack of allied support is a voting issue, in addition to its being a dramatically bad way to do foreign policy. Bush's internal polls will go up with allied support; down without it.

Comparing the pictures that were generated by a million man army in Vietnam for 10 years to the pictures generated by a few thousand in Afghanistan for 10 months is silly.
