The Congress happens to be amused to keep SS funding alive today. That won't be the case in twenty years. The "Social Security as Religious Cult" generation has all but died off. The boomers are split, but educated enough to know it's a pyramid. When they are 40% of the electorate (and STILL split) and the X and Y generations, at 60%, are struggling to survive in the deflation caused by diversion of too many funds to SS, there won't be any hope for the victims of the Ponzi scheme. My own opinion is that they are wise enough today to understand that future reality, and are gradually chasing the socialists of the American left out of positions of influence.
