I don't suppose you ever ran into a woman named C. C. Campbell, did you? She was from Houston and worked for the CIA. Got a friend of mine into a mess of trouble in the "combat zone" in Boston many years ago. I think that's how she wrote her name; I don't think it was See-See. She was right out of James Bond film; arrived at the garbage cans outside our apartment in an Alfa Romeo when Kirk was taking out the trash, and that's how it all began . . .

I am about to set out (Saturday) for London and Prague myself. It is somewhat discouraging to plan a trip with great care and then have your airline go bust and your destination flooded, especially when your own home town is in the midst of the worst drought ever seen. and all your plants are dying. And I haven't even learned the Czech word for "beer."

Be gone about six weeks. May try using Internet cafes.

Crash the market for me! I want the Dow below 7,000 by the time I am back.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is voted the worst family show on tv. Sure, if you have a family of vampires, it is really offensive. <g> apnews1.iwon.com
