Without actual product coming until September

Thats only a week and a half. Sure announcing it today is PR only, but they really is available in September in decent numbers then its a positive development. A lot of people thought that Tbred might never get to 2600+

Tenchusatsu,

re"vapor announcement"

I thought Intel did that last night by announcing the announcement scheduled for next week.

biz.yahoo.com

I guess the same applies to Intel:

More like "Highest-Performing Vapor." All Intel wants to do is take the wind out of AMD's upcoming 2400/2600 announcement. Intel is looking really desperate with this PR nonsense.

Ted, <AMD Unveils World's Highest-Performing Processor for Desktop PCs>

More like "Highest-Performing Vapor." All AMD wants to do is take the wind out of Intel's upcoming 2.8 GHz announcement. Without actual product coming until September, AMD is looking really desperate with this PR nonsense.

Tenchusatsu, now why are you freaking because AMD is aping INTC's paper launches of the P4 and Itanium? AMD is just trying to do it like the big guy! <g>
