i believe officers are required to do a registration of intent to sell shares prior ...

That's why we have juries. Let me see, who would the jury find more credible, the government witness saying Martha knew of the investigation and unloaded a s**tpot of shares or Martha (who is already under a cloud regarding her IMCL trade) saying, "oh, my, the market was in such bad shape, I just decided to sell..."

It all comes down to timing- thats why her imclone sale was so bad... one day prior to news. But to make a case wrt selling her own stock on the basis of the investigation- do they have the same case wrt timing.

Was the entire 79mm sold immediately after the imclone investigation was initiated?

At any rate MSO had a bad qtr in July and insiders just can't dump prior to annoucing bad results.... but this is just your avg ho hum class action situation having nothing to do with Imclone.
