Maurice,

What is a civilized way of life? Reading your post I came to the conclusion that if someone is rich enough then he is free to be the judge, commit the execution of his ex-wife and her boyfriend (very much like stoning), and laugh because money bought him the freedom. I'm positive if that poor woman was rich enough we wouldn't even hear about her.
Why you feel sorry for her and not the people who are sentenced based on their bad record, not the actual crime?

If the things will turn out ugly in the center of western power and civilization (likely they will) big money will be the last thing people ever wanted. And we will witness perfect change of western civilization values. So, please don't rush too much in changing "barbarians" as we might not know yet for sure about the change we'll be facing.
