jcky, you really are way off the mark here. Blaming BIG OIL really ignores very obvious reality.

We are a nation that consumes 20 million barrels a day of petroleum products but we only produce 40% of them.

OPEC (ME Nations for the most part) produce 1/3 of all oil produced.

It matters very little whose oil we consume, any interruption is supply anywhere and we suffer.

If you want to lay blame, blame the US culture. We are willing to consume at least 50% more fuel to drive a SUV than a modest 4 cylinder compact.

"BIG OIL" works to serve our interests.
