so on balance I'd have to say I am thrilled with what is available here, and I feel very lucky to be here. Yer got yer balances right, for sure. It's vaguely analogous to "great places to retire!" articles. One of the places often mentioned is Costa Rica. It's probably very pretty and very economical, but an I'm told by one exec who lives there that one downside is that you need barbed wire fencing and no-pry steel bars on all your windows. That would be a slight detraction from the views for me. I'll still take Maine.
