DOW GOES GOOD NOW.

DOW GOOD -- GOLD BAD.

GOLD GOOD -- DOW BAD.

Gold is an element on the periodic table with unique characteristics. Asians and Arabs like it. Some white people too.

It will be with us for a few more years. Don't sweat it.

If the market crashes go long. Market surges go put.

In the meantime, stock up on canned stuff and plant a vegetable garden.

Oil prices will not rise if US attacks Iraq - Iranian oil minister

Iranian oil minister Bijan Namdar-Zangeneh said "oil prices will not rise if the United States attacks Iraq", the Hamshahri newspaper reported.

"If the US attacks Iraq, oil prices in the world market will not go up, because the United States will use its oil resources not to allow a sudden jump in oil prices", Zangeneh said in an interview with the paper.

On Tuesday, Kuwait's acting oil minister, Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, said the OPEC cartel would likely raise its oil production should the US launch a military campaign aimed at unseating Saddam Hussein.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is scheduled to meet next in Osaka, Japan on Sept 19.

Iran is the second largest OPEC oil exporter after Saudi Arabia.
