Win, I know the facts are often inconvenient to those with your view of things but the fact is there was a period when negotiation was tried, then an ultimatum was issued and then an extended bombing campaign all before the US Army and its ground forces launched the final assault. CB is quite right in believing that the preliminary steps (negotiation and ultimatum) would be equally fruitless this time.....

BTW, I am contributing to this thread according to the rules of engagement here as I understand them. I'd appreciate it if you would do the same. I can certainly match what you consider "wit", tit for tat, if that is the way you intend to play the game here.....
