Previously I mentioned the 'deep pockets' factor; I also think, though, that there's an issue of courage involved; the courage to be able to say "GFY" with aplomb - however artfully - to individuals and groups requesting such outrageous things.

And, simultaneously, I'm quite sure that few pols in America have it.

And speaking of the Brits, why isn't this reparation thing crossing the pond? They held African slaves as well.

What's really funny in mine....out of the 16 major lines (thru 2 gr grands)...3 are Irish.... they were descended from 2 lines from Ireland for centuries we believe, and the other was the Protestant line that Cromwell sent over from England to quell those "upstarts" in Ireland in the 1640's... And even funnier....there are several pretty well documented lines of Plantagent ancestors from another of the "major 16"....

Who would be suing whom?
