Bill Tippett, "the effective rate is 400kbps due to compression" ... #reply-17907600

Ron

P.S. Is there a trick way to do the "#reply-17907600" above .. without just hand editing it? Thanks.

"His article in todays WSJ states the speed as "400 kbps." That is not just a bit faster. He is obviously not objective."

This was in reference to the effective speed with the compression that PCS is using. Thus 60 to 80 kbps with compression is equivalent to 400kbps on a wired modem.
