I also balk at egregious compensation.....would have a hard time holding on to a stock if the company repriced options. Perhaps you can share with us which tech companies you are invested in? I would like to know which companies you have found that meet your criteria. Unforuntately, I invested in some that did not and do not meet that criteria on an ongoing basis--imo. By the way, we should stop wasting everyone's time using the specifically defined term "repricing", because repricing generates an expense on the income sheet and CFOs are too smart to grant options that meet the strict definition of the term. There are several ways to avoid the strict definition of "repricing", but I believe the easiest way is to wait six months and one day and then grant "replacement" options. I assume, however, for purposes of this discussion that just because a company waits six months and one day to replace underwater options with new ones that such activity could still fall under your definition of "repricing" options. Well, folks, I just hit a milestone in my investing life. Bought a little more QCOM today and for the first time have over 100K invested in one company. Not sure why I'm telling all of you, but I felt I had to commemorate the moment by doing something and it's too early for champagne, which I couldn't afford in any case. For those with a tendency to tell other people how stupid they are, I wanted to make it clear that I already know I'm stupid. ARS Edit: And GRUB, another first.
