Paul, great chart. Looks like the NDX wants the middle of the Bollinger Band at around 1200. Maybe we get a decent pullback first as this market is starting to stretch pretty tight.

Inflows to Equity Funds total $3.2 Billion for the week ended 8/21/02

Finally we see Weekly money inflow in mutual funds.
The big rally took place without new money. That explains the strength of the rally if one views inflows as a contrarian indicator.
This is the first week of money coming in I have seen in a long time...and it is not even a lot of money in comparison to the recent outflows.

The big move into Money Market funds this week could suggest the rally is not coming to an end yet. Could be be seeing a repeat of the melt up rally into Y2K..but this time it is into fear of 9-11 on the horizon.....but within a bear market?
(or maybe it is nearing the end of this surge---which is what I believe it about to happen---one more week of 3B-5B in inflows would be a confirmation of this)

Amgdata.com..out this evening.

Inflows to Equity Funds total $3.2 Billion for the week ended 8/21/02 - with all Domestic and International Sectors reporting inflows, except Utility Funds.
Real Estate Funds report the 4th consecutive week of inflows.
Taxable Bond inflows total $1.4 Billion - with over half going to Government Funds investing in Mortgages.
High Yield Corporate Bond Funds report the 11th consecutive week of outflows ($45 Million - the smallest outflow reported during this period).
Money Market Funds report inflows ($9.5 Billion).
Municipal Bond Fund inflows total $395 Million

Looks like there is JUST room for a kiss of the falling SR line from the March & May tops before... ???

I would normally draw it out on the chart, but my internet connection has been bad all day, and it crashed IE when I tried. Sorry guys. }:
