I shared your confusion when I first started getting into this study of turn calls, and when someone calls a high they are not necessarily calling for a lasting high for any particular length of time, but only a high for that day (plus/minus one day) within its timeframe.

BTW, Favors uses the Bradley in making his turn call decisions.
